One-to-one sessions

Learn mindfulness or self-compassion at your own pace

Why choose private mindfulness or self-compassion sessions?

One-to-one sessions provide all the transformative benefits of mindfulness and self-compassion group courses, with the added advantage of tailored support to meet your unique needs and goals.

You’ll learn practical techniques to manage stress, reduce anxiety, and cultivate a more balanced, compassionate way of living.

Private mindfulness sessions may be for you if:

  • You prefer personalised guidance and encouragement in a one-on-one setting.

  • Your schedule makes it hard to join a group course, or you want more flexible options.

  • You've already completed a mindfulness or self-compassion course and are looking to deepen your practice or explore a specific area more fully.

"I liked the personalised aspect as you really responded to my thoughts, examples and helped me understand them. I felt listened to"

“Juggling life as a busy mum to a toddler, two part time jobs plus volunteer work had left me frazzled!

During Sally’s first session she read a poem and I will always remember the impact of the words on me. ‘Be still sometimes’.

Life is busy but now I build ‘still’ moments into my day and I’m much much kinder to myself.”

-Amy

FAQs

  • Each session is 60 minutes long, providing ample time to explore key concepts, discuss your progress, and answer any questions you may have.

  • No prior experience is needed. I'll provide all the information and support you need to get started.

  • I teach three mindfulness courses:

    • Mindfulness for Stress

    • Mindfulness for Health

    • Mindful Self-Compassion

You can find out more about each course by reading the Courses page on my website. If you're still unsure which one is best for you, we can chat about that in your free consultation call.

  • Mindfulness is a way of being rather than a one-off technique, so the more you can weave it into your daily life the more you are likely to feel the benefits. That doesn't mean you have to practice for hours and hours a day though! For people who are new to mindfulness, you'll be invited to meditate for around 10-15 minutes a day, twice a day initially.

  • Life happens and I always try to be flexible. However I do ask that you honour my time and give me as much notice as possible if you need to reschedule a one-to-one session. Any sessions cancelled less than 24 hours in advance will not be refunded.

  • I am not currently offering concessionary rates for one-to-one sessions. However I regularly offer funded (free) mindfulness courses, walks and introductory sessions, including at Oxfordshire Recovery College, and in partnership with The Mix community space in Wantage. Feel free to email me if you'd like to know more about free sessions.

  • I mainly teach online, but will consider in-person sessions in Oxford on a case by case basis, with additional cost dependent on my travel time and venue rental.
